We work to prevent the homelessness of Australian women and children, largely through separation and divorce. We deliver a range of preventative and pragmatic solutions and services, along with providing respite accommodation.
Women are fast becoming the new face of homelessness in Australia.
Women are more likely to be at risk of homelessness due to financial disadvantage, rising housing prices, separation and the Family Law Courts along with the demands of motherhood, their being employed in casual and lower paid jobs, have lower superannuation and savings and many who have suffered domestic and financial abuse.
An awareness campaign delivered in the form of the beloved renovated Aussie caravan, we also work with a range of services and tailor-made solutions to help prevent this current nationwide pandemic.
Our charity works to co-ordinate community involvement, pulling together relevant, created and established services and solutions under our banner to allow better access for women navigating their way post separation or divorce.
We are educating young women and men about the reality of homelessness and how financial literacy and independence is vital towards stopping the cycle.
We work alongside our partners,
the media and the community to create a conversation and practical programs to teach financial literacy.
